President Update
I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy now that life is returning to normal. With the summer heat upon us many of you may have begun traveling again. If so, I hope you have found some “cool” places to hang out. This is also perfect weather for drinking some of those yummy white wines that you have purchased, either at a Trilogy wine taste or during your travels.
Sid and I spent a few days in Temecula and visited a few wineries that we had not heard of: Monto de Oro, Danza del Sol and Wiens to name a few. It was a joy to sit outside in the cool temperatures and sip some wines unique to these vineyards. We have found some new favorites with great names: Obscura, Crowded and Reunion are just a few of them.
Your board is happy to have been able to plan wine tastes for April, May and June. It was nice to see members enjoying each other’s company and tasting some great wines. If you were able to attend, we hope that you enjoyed the camaraderie and the wine. As in the past, the wine club will not have any events during July and August, but we plan to be back in the tasting business come September, so be on the lookout for your Punchbowl invite. The September invite should appear in late August, so watch for it.
In addition, we expect home socials to resume in October. A short survey will be sent out in mid-August so please be on the lookout and respond. This will help us with our planning.
Wishing you all a good summer. See you in the fall.
Cheers,
Ellen
