President's Update
Greetings,
It is hard to believe that 2021 is winding down and the holiday season is around the corner. We hope that many of you have been able to attend and enjoy the return of monthly tastings and home socials. The calendar for 2022 should be available soon.
Be on the lookout for the ballot for the 2022 Wine Club Board. It should appear in your email in mid-November, and we would appreciate your early attention to it.
There seems to be some member confusion regarding the new Trilogy wide MyClubWine program and the Trilogy Wine Club. They are two distinctly different programs. The Wine Club Board is in conversation with the MyWineClub folks to see how their services can benefit us. We will keep you informed as talks progress.
Unfortunately, there are 2 items that need to be addressed. First, it has been brought to our attention that during one of the wine tasting ticket sales, several wine club members were rude and discourteous to the Kiva staff who were handling the ticket sales. It is because of this behavior that the Kiva desk is no longer willing to handle the first 2 hours of sales for wine tastings. The Wine Club Board Volunteers have been asked to take on this responsibility.
Second, it was also evident at the last wine tasting that several tables were extremely loud and disrespectful during Wayne’s presentation. While our tastings are social events, they are also meant to be educational and this type of behavior makes it difficult for attendees to hear what is being presented. We are all adults and should not have to be constantly reminded to be courteous and respectful of others.
We are grateful that we have been able to resume Wine Club activities and looking forward to 2022 continuing with wine tastings, home socials, and a return of dine out events. Wishing you happy holiday and a healthy 2022..
Cheers,
Ellen

Home Social Update
The October home social was our first since March 2020, and was enjoyed by 128 members. The Alfords, Jarvises, Newtons and Blitzes were congenial hosts to a combination of long-term members, as well as welcoming to many newbies.
With more seasonal visitors returning, we're expecting nearly 150 attendees at the November social. Spacious homes and patios provide ample room to spread out. When attendance warrants it, a 5th host will add additional space for our monthly events.
On a separate note, one thing to keep in mind is the Kiva and Mita are neighborhoods in the same community, and our home socials are a great way to get to know each other. There's only half a mile between the Kiva back gate and the Upcountry gate, so please keep an open mind if you're assigned to a new area.

Membership Update
As we look forward to an exciting “year of wine” in 2022. Please keep in mind the time is near to renew your wine club membership!
Those members who joined prior to, or during 2020 had their membership automatically renewed for 2021. That will not be the case for 2022. All members, new or existing, will need to register for the club in 2022.
We will begin taking membership renewals starting December 1, 2021 for the 2022 club year.
Please fill out the membership form and send it to the listed address. Any member that does not renew their membership will stop receiving wine club correspondence and invitations to events as of January 31, 2022.
The wine club expects to run full steam ahead in 2022. We will continue to hold home socials, tasting events and hope to start up outside dinners. So please renew your membership during December so you will continue to receive news on upcoming events.
Do you have friends that you would like to join you at the various events held by the wine club? If so, this is a reminder for you to encourage them to join the club!
New and renewing members can find the wine club application by visiting the membership section of the wine club website at: www.trilogywineclub.com or clicking on the link below.
